LED Light Frame
Level: Advanced
Advanced projects can typically be completed with 2-5 tools. Assembly can be completed in 60-90 minutes. We recommend this project for students ages 11+.
Objective: Construct an LED Light Frame
Students will use basic carpentry and electrical skills to build an LED Light Frame. Students will have an opportunity to get creative and decorate their light frame, making them a perfect gift or decoration.
Instructors then have an opportunity to reinforce learnings by prompting questions such as:
What skills were required for you to assemble the LED Light Frame?
How was this project different from or the same as other projects you have built?
What will you put in your LED Light Frame?
Supplies & Materials:
The following supplies & materials are included with this project:
Wooden pieces for light frame assembly
Wood glue
Nails
Power supply
LED receiver
LED remote
LED light strip
Art supplies, scissors, and a hammer are not included but can be provided upon request. A hammer is included in our standard toolset.
