Winter Snowman

Level: Intermediate

Intermediate projects can typically be completed with 1-3 tools. Assembly can be completed in 45 minutes. We recommend this project for students ages 11+.

Objective: Construct a snowman

Students will use basic carpentry skills to build a wintry snowman. Students will have an opportunity to get creative and decorate their snowman, making them a perfect gift or seasonal decoration.

Instructors then have an opportunity to reinforce learnings by prompting questions such as:

• What skills were required for you to assemble the snowman?

• How was this project different from or the same as other projects you have built?

Supplies & Materials:

The following supplies & materials are included with this project:

• Wooden pieces for snowman

• Hardware for assembly and decoration (nails, screws, dowels, bolts, washers)

• Wood glue and Q-tips for application

• Sandpaper

Art supplies (paint, fabric) and tools (hammer, pliers, phillips head screwdriver, 7/16 socket, screwdriver handle, AD bit) are not included but can be provided upon request. All necessary tools for this project are included in our standard toolset.
