Treasure Box

Level: Intermediate

Intermediate projects can typically be completed with 1-3 tools. Assembly can be completed in 45 minutes. We recommend this project for students ages 10+.

Objective: Construct a treasure box

Students will use basic carpentry skills to build a treasure box. Students will have an opportunity to get creative and decorate their treasure box, making them a perfect gift or household decoration.

Instructors then have an opportunity to reinforce learnings by prompting questions such as:

• What skills were required for you to assemble the treasure box?

• What will you store in your treasure box?

Supplies & Materials:

The following supplies & materials are included with this project:

• Wooden pieces

• Nails

• Wood glue and Q-tips for application

• Sandpaper

Art supplies and a hammer are not included but can be provided upon request. A hammer is included in our standard toolset.
