Reading Clubhouse

Level: Beginner

Beginner projects can typically be completed with little tooling (if any). Assembly can be completed in 20-30 minutes. We recommend this project for students ages 8+.

Objective: Construct a reading clubhouse

Students will use basic carpentry skills to build a reading clubhouse. Students will have an opportunity to express themselves through their fabric selection and be encouraged to get outside to read or play in their clubhouse.

Instructors then have an opportunity to reinforce learnings by prompting questions such as:

• What skills were required for you to assemble the reading clubhouse?

• What are some books you would read in your reading clubhouse?

• Wooden pieces for clubhouse assembly

• Fabric

• Safety pins

No tools are required for this project.
